Why Your Dog need Walk? -10 reasons from pugga blogs

We have many reasons to adopt a dog as our friendly pet, as a factory of retractable dog leashes, pugga’s blog found many people just consider our pet as a companion only, we didn’t think in pup’s mind. Using a pugga retractable leash helps so much on your daily walk, we also brings some reasons of why your dog should walk and keep a routine walk with dogs.

Here are the 10 reasons:

1 – daily exercise and daily walks

Just as people should do 20 minutes of cardio a day to stay fit and healthy, dogs need daily play as well as daily walks. A structured walk is essential to a healthy lifestyle. Playing indoors or in your yard is great, but not the same as an exercise routine.

2 – Socialize to be better adapted

Dogs live in a human world where they may not understand everything. A loud motorcycle can scare a dog if it goes on a walk for the first time. But if you remain calm and trust on the walk, then the dog will know that although this sound is unpleasant, it is okay and they do not need to run off.

3 - keep dogs’ sniffer in use

Dogs' noses have 40 times the power our noses do. Dogs live in a world of smells. When they sniff the ground, they are not smelling just grass, they smelled three dogs that walked there before them. They may smell a raccoon that passed there last night, or a person who smoked. Letting them stop to sniff on walks keeps their mind active and alert to what's around them. They are never bored sniffing and walking.

4 – keep dogs wee in right places

We may know dog seems to have an endless supply of wee and poo on walks. Why? The sniffing triggers the urge to show to other dogs, "Hey, I was here too!" It brings up another point of territory marking. The area they go on walks is within their range and they know where they've gone and whom they may encounter. Scent marking is not necessarily the dog staking a claim, but rather a way of saying this spot will be familiar to me in the future.

5 – release dogs’ daily stress

Your dog can get stressed. Maybe you were gone all day and he stressed you might not get back in time to feed him and let him out. Maybe a mailman came to the door to deliver a package while you were gone. Even just sitting alone while your out, whether a balanced dog or not, he can get bored, lonely, and stressed. As you know that during an exercise run all the thoughts of the day just shake off. So release that stress with a walk.

6 – quality just time to be a dog

Walks is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your pet. Though he may be interested in sniffing more than getting pet by you. He gets the exercise he needs, the sniffing time, the quality time, and the time to just be a dog. The most fun is seeing dogs walk and get excited about something he sees like a squirrel or a kid wanting to pet him - his tail wags so fast and his ears perk up. His personality really comes out on a walk. You can get a better sense of who he is, what he fears, what he likes, and his reactions.

7 - walk on commands and show leadership

Walk is also a great tool in dog training. You can also walk on commands. Using the "sit" command before crossing the street is a great command to learn. That way you don't have the struggle of holding your dog back to protect him as you look for oncoming traffic. They sit and await your "let's go" command. You build a relationship of trust and respect on walks. This is an important part of being a leader. You decide where you and your dog go on your walks and you are in command on any situation.

8 – get a schedule for walking times

Morning walks and evening walks are great - the cooler times of the day, and the time when your dog can go potty before you go out to work or start your day. The dog knows this is the time you chose. He can count on you to get his leash and take him out. This once again gains his respect and he will not bother you every moment you sit down to go out and go for a walk.

9 - a healthy weight from daily walk

Daily walks is a wonderful way for your dog, and you to maintain a healthy weight. Powerful muscles and a lean body are very attractive on a dog and you will get many complements on your companion. Who doesn't like to feel good about themselves and their friends?

10 - show off your Pup is just nice

Let people meet your pup is the better way to educate people about your dog. People will stop you all the time and ask what kind of dog you are walking. Usually they'll complement them, ask what breed, how old, etc. Getting complements is always nice.

The world outside is just great for every dog, a daily routine walk with your pet is the time to enjoy. Take your dog and retractable leash, go for it.

Learn how to Walk Your Dog On A Leash

Dog owners walking their beloved canines on retractable leashes or retractable leads is a common scene. While dog walking is a necessity, most people are going about the walk not properly. Pugga tried to figure out some rules of retractable dog leashes while walking with your pets on leash and trust you could feel it. Your dogs – no matter what size – should never be running ahead of you and should never be leading you.

As the owner, you should always have complete control over your animal not only for its safety but also for the safety of other people and animals around you. Unfortunately, a dog who can’t walk correctly on a leash is less likely to be walked regularly and won’t reap any of these benefits.

To walk appropriately, you need the right leash. Retractable leashes are a good idea because they give your dog much freedom to run. But you must have a leash that gives you complete control over how far your dog can move. Leather and nylon leashes are both good choices, but you want to pick one that is strong enough so your dog can’t break it if he tries to dart away from you.

When you first bring your puppy home, spend some time having the leash on him while he’s in the house so he can become used to it. Feed him treats, pet him, and do other enjoyable activities while the leash is attached so he will associate it with pleasant things right away.

On the first walk, you should be prepared not to get very far. Make sure your puppy is on your left side and there is no tension in the leash. If there is tension or your dog’s head is ahead of your legs, then give a corrective upward jerk on the leash to get his attention and stop walking. Make your dog sit beside you. When he has calmed down, start walking again. Go a few more steps and stop. Have the dog sit, and then reward him with a treat if he was good. Continue doing this process. Keep moving forward for longer each time as long as your puppy gets better at walking.

Remember, as with any type of dog training, you need to be patient and consistent while you continue working with your puppy until he becomes a good walker on retractable leash or dog leads.

Leashing it or not? Why need retractable dog leashes?

Pugga’s blog has most topics of retractable leashes and trust this topic has also come up once or twice in your chats. As pet lovers or dog owners, most of us were not a certified dog trainer. So many times the question is: leashing it or not? Why need a retractable dog leashes?

Somebody will say the retractable dog leashes are not really "retractable" for one thing, a term that implies you can push a button and reel your dog right back in. anyway let us list the opinions here for your kindly reference.

What we get from retractable dog leashes? All questions could be concluded into one. Factoris dealing with retractable leashes have many reasons to speak aloud. We could find typical one as following quoted:

“Millions of dog owners worldwide are more than satisfied with this remarkable invention from Germany – flexi retractable leashes. flexi’s quality products have dramatically improved the daily task of dog walking, making it a pleasure not just another chore.”But another voice said:

-You need a dog's full cooperation to "retract" it.
That is true and funny points, Dogs well-behaved enough to walk on a retractable leash are dogs who don't even need a leash at all.

Even with a perfectly trained dog, retractables are annoying because you can't grab the leash itself because it's made of wire and can burn or cut your hands if the dog moves suddenly. Say, to untangle your dog from another well-behaved dog with whom it is engaged in profitable mutual sniffing. Anytime anywhere it is noted that the behaviour to grab the leash itself is dangerous.

If you like the extra length that a retractable gives you, just get a long leash. Many people will think in this way when comparing a leash with a retractable dog leash.

Canine obesity requires more of retractable dog leashes

Our dogs are growing fatter right along with us, Canine obesity is on the rise, experts required factories of retractable dog leashes or retractable leads to manufacture safer leashes for daily use, due to the practical situation. Normally, a leash of 20kgs loading in enough for most pets.

Now we are moving to 25kgs as medium sizes quickly, maybe next 35kgs dogs is just normal. Pugga considers this problem carefully and will bring new ideas for more.

What is Canine obesity?

We all love our dogs. In fact, we love them so much, Unfortunately, we often do more harm than good.

One dog + too much food + too little exercise = canine obesity

When your dog takes in more calories than it burns off, the resulting surplus is stored as fat. In fact, as little as one per cent extra caloric intake can result in a 25 per cent increase over ideal body weight by middle age.

Canine obesity is a serious health risk for your furry pal and taking action now can help him to lead a healthier life.

How to detect the problem?

It can sometimes be hard to realize that your dog is fat, especially for those breeds that have thick coats. There are few general rules of thumb.

1. Look down at your dog from above. You should be able to see a defined ‘waist’ just above the hip bones. If you cannot see the waist, your dog is too heavy.

2. You should be able to see and feel your dog’s ribs. While they should not be sticking out and your dog should not look like a walking skeleton, you should be able to see a rib or two and be able to feel them easily. If you cannot, your dog is overweight.

3. Your dog should not have a hanging belly. Some altered females have a slight pouch as a result of spaying surgery, but this should consist only of hanging skin, not fat. You can tell by gently squeezing the pouch; if the skin fold of the pouch is more than 0.5 inches thick, your dog is fat.

Change into better habits

People lead such busy lives and what they eat, and how much they exercise, also affects what they feed their dogs and how much exercise their dogs get. Dogs need fresh air and exercise just like people do. Exercise will help them to burn the calories they take in for their meals

As a result, weight loss supplements have been introduced, with ingredients designed to help reduce the absorption of calories.

Better eating and exercise habits will also speed the process of canine weight loss. Your dog needs to be walked every day and should never be given leftovers from your table. Why not change to a retractable dog leashes? A better daily walking with your dogs. start slowly - even if it's just a stroll around the block. Gradually increase his exercise as he becomes more fit. Avoid taking your dog out for a high-energy, long run once or twice a week and instead aim for regular exercise

Pet owners’ second love - Dog Park walk events

Many places many people will bring their dogs to a walk in the park each year in order to raise funds for all kinds of programs. The Dog Walk is normally a part of the annual event kickoff. It is different from a daily walk with your dog on a retractable leash. Participants can walk their own dogs, or a friend's dog.

These programs are very popular and make great difference to the animals and to the community, as walkers teach compassion and extend a hand and a few dollars as registration fee and donations. Thanks to them.

An option for registration fee called "The Lazy Dogz Fee” is also welcome, where a person can stay in bed and still support the event. It's just a way for people to donate if they don't want to walk or are busy that day.

Enjoy time: trick or treat
You could exercise your pup as well as socialization in a dog walkathon. Your dog, like all dogs, is a pack animal with a basic need for lots of socialization. Well-behaved, leashed dogs and their human friends can also enjoy festivities, treats, prizes, demonstrations and pet-friendly vendors right there.

Rules: walk this way
Please be kindly noticed to some rules for these events:1) A maximum of two dogs per person and dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations. 2) Walkers must clean up after their dog.3) Aggressive dogs shall be left at home and people be in control of their dog at all times - with no retractable leashes or leashes longer than six feet.

Second love
Sometimes, the events will hold an expo for adoption of homeless pets. As you may know, the best way to support homeless pets is to give one a home. This event helps pets find forever homes and give great help on both pets and pet lovers.

Pleas note, for a daily dog park walk, some places is only for a leash walk, others may allow off leash walk or just prohibit any dog walk.

Comments on Retractable & adjustable dog leashes rotate on ground anchor

This article purposed to introduce a retractable dog leashes functioned adjustable, hands free, and pivoting. This product is a patent pending in USA.

Pugga gives our own comments on these good products. The mainly changes on this kind of retractable leash are two parts. One is length switch, another one is mounting anchor. The side switch button could control the leash max extension as pre-set with 4 different lengths, the anchor could fix the retractable dog leashes when you are tired walking and holding the leash.
Adjustable retractable Dog Leash with patent pending.

Advantages of this retractable adjustable dog leashes:

2) A Retractable Dog Leash is Adjustable with four preset lengths to fit your dog.

3) A Retractable Dog Leash offers a new way to exercise your dog used with the companion Anchor.

4) Alone Retractable Dog Leash is a handy leash suitable for medium sizes dogs.

Special enjoys of retractable adjustable dog leashes:

Give great freedom for pets while camping

Relaxing on the beach Days at the park

Mounts easily on leash Anchor so you can relax most anywhere

Pugga further opinions on adjustable retractable leash:

Pugga found that this patent pending adjustable retractable leash has stopped selling with a notice on the website, but no reason explained. Personally we could find some questions and hope this patent get be modified and be perfect to meet purposed functions.

1) The leash itself is Nylon cord, it is not designed as mounting chains because dogs sometimes snap the cord. Please keep in mind, all retractable leashes are only for daily walking your pets.

2) It is not much convenient to take another anchor alongside while going for a walking.

3) It is very dangerous to leave your pets amounted alone with retractable leash on the collars unattended.

There are other two patents invented to make a portable and adjustable leashes, use anywhere any time, but none solved the question above mentioned. We do hope somebody could change this.
